Maciej Siwy graduated from the University of Gdańsk with a degree in commercial law (1994-1999). He completed his legal counsel training at the Regional Court in Gdańsk (1999-2002) and his attorney training at the Pomeranian Chamber of Attorneys in Gdańsk (2002-2005).
Presently, he practises as a legal counsel and is recorded in the list of legal counsels kept by the Regional Chamber of Legal Counsels in Gdańsk.
Moreover, he completed postgraduate studies in the field of English law and the law of EU at the University of Cambridge (and is a holder of a Diploma in an Introduction to English Law and the Law of the European Union - 1998-2000), postgraduate studies in English language translation studies (legal and economic translation) at the University of Gdańsk (2010-2011) and postgraduate studies in management (2000-2001). Also, he is a holder of International Legal English Certificate issued by the University of Cambridge (2007) and of a diploma from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry certifying his command of Business English (2000).
As for the French language, legal counsel Maciej Siwy is a holder of Certificat de francais juridique issued by Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris (1999) and Certificat d'introduction au droit francais et europeen issued by Universite Toulouse 1 Capitole and the University of Gdańsk (2014).
For 15 years, Legal Counsel Agnieszka Siwy has specialized in labour, civil and economic law, representing her Clients in negotations and disputes in common and administrative courts, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Administrative Court, and courts of arbitration. For many years, she was the director of the Gdańsk branch of one of the biggest law firms in Poland and was responsible for services for companies in northern Poland. She is an author of many articles on labour and economic law published in the major legal dailies in Poland (Gazeta Prawna and Rzeczpospolita). Legal Counsel Agnieszka Siwy is also a lecturer and examiner at the legal counsel exams at the Regional Chamber of Legal Counsels in Gdańsk.
